DC Solar Steps Up For Hope

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and once again DC Solar was proud to sponsor one of the Bay Area’s most popular events seeking to bring awareness to the fight against breast cancer: The Bi-Annual Notes4Hope Breast Cancer Benefit Concert.

With a mission to build a community around music in order to support breast cancer research and prevention, Notes4Hope’s concert on Saturday, October 18 at the Cal Shakes Amphitheater in Orinda took that mission to whole new level. The 5th installment of the Notes4Hope wasn’t just any concert, it was also a launch party for Notes4Hope’s new CD: CD4Hope.

CD4Hope features new original songs written for specifically for Notes4Hope, with each one conveying very a personal message, including messages hope in the face of adversity, inspiration and overcoming struggle. Saturday’s concert brought together 9 separate artists, all of whom debuted their new works to an enthusiastic crowd. Among the acts on hand were Bay Area favorites Big Head Todd and the Monsters and Painbirds. The evening also included a rousing set from comedian Jake Johannsen.

In addition to participating as a key sponsor, DC Solar also donated its popular mobile electric vehicle charging station to the popular off-grid concert venue so that concert-goers with EVs had the option of getting a charge while enjoying the show.

Notes4Notes Co-Founder Sandy Preto expressed her appreciation for DC Solar this way: “DC Solar is an incredible Notes4Hope partner, and like Notes4Hope, they are making a positive impact in the community and on the environment. As a health focused organization, it is important that we produce our shows in a manner that is consistent with our values – and that includes being environmentally friendly. That’s why DC Solar is so perfect. Their green energy products promote good health, and that’s good for everybody who comes to our events. I couldn’t be more proud to have them as a key sponsor.”
